What is a roach clip?

A roach clip is a small tool used for holding onto the end of a marijuana joint or cigarette that has burned down to a very short length, making it difficult to smoke without burning your fingers. Roach clips are typically made of metal, plastic, or wood, and feature a small clamp or clip at one end to securely grasp the end of the joint. They are also sometimes decorated with beads, feathers, or other embellishments. Roach clips are commonly used by smokers to help prevent burning their fingers and to maximize the amount of smoke that can be inhaled from a joint.
